Egypt Energy Show completed its first Better Stands assessment in March 2026 in partnership with Expotech, achieving impressive results. Over 55% of total event space achieved Gold standard, representing zero-waste, fully reusable stands. A further 10% achieved Silver and 25% achieved Bronze, with only 10% of stands identified as disposable.
The results highlight a strong regional approach to stand building that embraces circular economy principles. By reusing and repurposing materials, exhibitors and contractors are reducing waste, improving build and breakdown efficiency, and lowering costs.
The assessment followed a robust end-to-end process, with all stands monitored during build and breakdown, exhibitor engagement through pre-event surveys, contractor collaboration, and photographic evidence collected across multiple tenancy days. This provided a clear and credible baseline of reusability performance.
Building on this strong foundation, Egypt Energy Show will focus on continuous improvement through targeted post-event communications and ongoing use of the Better Stands framework, helping more exhibitors transition to Gold standard and further reducing disposable stands in future editions.
